Brian Cui enrolled to practice taxes before Internal Revenue Services in 1989. After receiving his Master of Science in Taxation, Mr. Cui worked for KPMG as a Supervising Senior Tax Specialist, served individual and business clients in tax planning and compliance at KPMG’s San Francisco and Silicon Valley Mountain View offices.

In representing clients in tax examinations by IRS and California state, Mr. Cui successfully negotiated settlements of outstanding tax balances and penalties, appealed and resolved audit tax adjustments and penalties in cases involving complex income tax issues.

Prior to starting his practice in 2010, Mr. Cui has spent over 10 years in charge of corporations’ legal department, under his management, the legal department completed complex equity and debt financing transactions, resolved commercial contract disputes, negotiated IP license agreements, and managed legal compliance and due diligence for a technology company’s IPO preparation.

Mr. Cui acquired his accounting, audit and corporate finance expertise through his work experience in the positions of senior auditor, accounting manager, controller, Chief Accounting Officer and chief financial officer. Mr. Cui was the Chief Financial Officer of a Silicon Valley technology company with over 250 employees worldwide, he managed the company’s legal and finance departments in its IPO effort. As a senior auditor, Mr. Cui participated in the audit of many Silicon Valley technology companies, and two of the world largest banks’ pension funds.
